THE ROLE

The Retail Outlet Buyer will look after the seasonal product buys, pricing and promotional activities for the Outlet stores. With many different product sources, the buyer needs to manage the seasonal budgets and OTB to ensure the optimal buy is reached. Strong communication with all internal departments and a great eye for product are essential attributes for the role.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive competitor benchmarking and market research.
  • Build seasonal range plan according to customer needs, company strategy and market trends.
  • Brief design teams to ensure appropriate collection building.
  • Together with Buying Manager, lead sketch and proto review meetings with design and development teams.
  • Collaborate with product development to ensure margin targets are in line with company expectations.
  • Plan a retail pricing strategy that delivers profitable growth and continued margin expansion.
  • Work with Full Price team to ensure company product strategies are fully aligned between the different channels.
  • Run relevant analysis as preparation for the buying periods and to review current trade.
  • Ensure optimal assortment planning in order to supply stores with a relevant range, according to space, customer profile and budget expectations
  • Collaborate with Allocator to maintain store assortments while maximizing inventory productivity.
  • Maintenance of seasonal OTB and re-orders.
  • Maximize sales through a strong promotional calendar aligned with the company’s growth strategy and the relevant Outlet centers activities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (such as VM and Marketing) to ensure potential of season buy is realized both in-season and in advance of the start of the season.
  • Build and develop relationships with external off-price partners to manage excess inventory and minimize risk.

THE PROFILE

  • Degree in Business, Fashion, Retail Management or related fields.
  • 2-4 years experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of retail landscape and key competitors. Flexible to adapt to the changing trends of the business and/or adhoc projects.
  • Ability to judge and balance product design / taste level and commercial viability
  • Sharp eye for detail and consistency.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Well-founded knowledge of Excel, experience with QlikView reporting system a plus.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Ability to travel for store visits and openings.
  • Start date is mid May 2021 until end of February 2022
