In this role, you will support the retail stores within Europe. You will work closely with the Store and Area Managers to develop and manage the tactical and operational processes and define the HR strategy, policy and procedures. You will be part of the HR team that consists of the HR Manager, 3 HR Business Partners, 2 Talent Acquisition Managers, and an HR administrator.



  • Important sparring partner for our Store Managers and Retail Area Managers;
  • Provide first-line HR advice;
  • Work closely with the Retail Management to resolve performance/disciplinary issues, advice on social legislation topics, and handle legal issues;
  • Process the monthly European payroll;
  • Process onboarding and exit process by preparing the necessary administration;
  • Define effective recruitment procedures to ensure that we hire strong, relevant candidates in the most effective manner;
  • Preparation of the documentation requested from the Store Managers;
  • Manage leave and absenteeism;
  • Coaching of Store and Area Managers regarding their employees, work on a succession plan for their stores, and define an appropriate talent management plan;
  • Work together with the HR team or take the lead in different HR projects for retail;


  • 1-3 years experience in a generalist HR role, in an international retail environment;
  • Strong communication skills, team player with a ‘can do’ approach:
  • Knowledge of Dutch and European Employment law is an advantage;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • High attention to details, structured & organized;
  • Ability to follow up and meet deadlines;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
  • Interested and able to deal with different cultures, adaptability, and flexibility;
  • Strong personality and a sense of humor;
  • Dynamic profile willing to learn;
  • Don’t mind travelling 30% of the time once that it is allowed.
