Position purpose

Optimizing the sales and profits and ensure that customers gain a great retail experience in the KL stores. Ensure that both Karl Lagerfeld & El Corte Ingles policies and procedures are met at all times. Manage the operations on a strategic and tactical level with a clear vision.

A leading commercial function focused on the organization of all Karl Lagerfeld activities within the Accessories and RTW floors in Puerto Banus Department Store. The Dual Site Manager ensures a strong relationship is built and maintained with the ECI local Management teams to drive the success of the business.

Requirements

Key accountabilities

Sales and Customer Service

To ensure both Shop in Shop locations are delivering the highest standards of customer service:

  • Driving a welcoming and inviting store environment
  • Analysis of sales reporting and create action points to drive sales
  • Drive and monitor KPI’s to ensure maximum performance
  • Regular training sessions with both teams combined to create a unified and consistent customer service approach within the Department stores in Madrid
  • Weekly performance reporting to HQ

Commercial

To ensure stores are commercially optimal:

  • Actively participating in weekly conference calls
  • Providing basis of yearly target phasing
  • Regular comparison/ benchmarking of market/ competitors to then feedback key findings to the business
  • Pro-active commercial actions to suit the needs of both location within ECI Puerto Banus
  • Relationship building with Department Store Floor Management (regular meetings)

Operations

To ensure guidelines of Karl Lagerfeld are met including:

  • All House of Karl policies and procedures are followed within both locations
  • Training and coaching of the teams within all operational areas
  • Ensuring smooth logistics/ delivery handling within ECI and follow up when needed
  • Secure monthly meetings with ECI to ensure we meet their expectations

Finance

To ensure both locations work within allocated budgets for Payroll and expenses:

  • Together with the Retail Manager, reviews any cost requests
  • Review budgets and cost of the stores regularly
  • Ensure discrepancies are followed up (till crossover issues)

Buying & Merchandising

To maximize sales performances through optimal stock level and offer:

  • Regularly provide constructive feedback and commercial input to HQ Product Team
  • Monitor stock levels, product offers and sell thru in both locations together with the Retail Manager of each department
  • Ensure alignment on all promotional and markdown activities

Marketing & CRM

To maximize sales through marketing initiatives ensuring full alignment

  • Support with implementation of events
  • Proactive marketing initiatives to drive the business, ensuring there is alignment between the two locations
  • Relationship building with the 3rd parties including local PR/ Tourism/ Marketing agencies
  • Optimize Customer data collection ensuring CRM targets are met

Visual merchandising and Store standards

To ensure stores are in line with the Karl Lagerfeld brand image:

  • Ensure all VM guidelines and instructions are followed
  • Monitor the implementation of VM initiatives and Visual newsletters
  • Regular commercial feedback is shared with the VM team

People management

To ensure we have the best people in our business:

  • Recruitment, inducting and training of new team members
  • Driving engagement of our teams through regular training sessions
  • Identifying key talent and putting in place development plans for growth
  • Overseeing the scheduling, holidays and payroll costs
