THE ROLE

The Director IT Transformation is a new role within Karl Lagerfeld. The role is key within the organization to support business growth and further mature the business. Within Karl Lagerfeld an IT transformation framework has been defined, which now needs to be worked out and implemented. Key elements of this IT transformation plan are:


Strengthen foundation: professionalize the IT team by defining processes, SLA’s & procedures
Mature ERP: Core processes have been implemented, additional processes need to be implemented in ERP to strengthen the foundation and further mature the overall processes to increase efficiency and further growth.

  • Supply Chain: Allocation & delivery releasing, Credit Management
  • Finance: Automatic invoice approval workflow, Expense management, Non-trade procurement

Eliminate excel: Build data warehouse and reporting
Enable digital: Define, build and implement standard way of working with the main market places (e.g. Zalando, About You, Farfetch, …) supported by a manageable IT architecture.

  • Support Digital Commerce business to bring part of processes in house from an overall IT perspective (From website, to CRM to fulfilment)
  • Defining PIM and digital asset strategy

New capabilities: Implement merchandise planning systems and PLM


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Additional short-term strategic initiatives within the Karl Lagerfeld organization will be on:

  • Design & build effective IT organization which supports KL growth
  • Simplify overall architecture
  • Further integrate market places, e-commerce and retail capabilities
  • Backbone (ERP): Supply Chain & Finance
  • Surrounding: E-commerce, POS, PIM, PLM

Requirements

The IT director / IT Transformation director needs to be a strong business partner, with solid knowledge of business processes to support the business pro-actively in defining roadmap and solutions. Key in this role is the ability to translate business challenges in IT solutions without ‘all detailed requirements’. Last but not least, IT delivery is key for the role to ensure trust from the business partners and the management team.

THE PROFILE:

The ideal candidate has a bachelor or University degree in Information Technology or Business Economics and at least 10+ years’ experience in working IT. A background in a fashion, retail, consumer goods organization or consulting firm will be a solid basis for this function, to understand and broadcast of what IT can deliver from a business perspective. A broad knowledge of different IT systems or be able to quickly understand several applications and its dependencies.

  • Knowledge and experience with the following application area’s: ERP (Infor, MsDynamics, SAP), Retail Systems (POS Cegid), E-commerce, CRM, (cloud) Infrastructure
  • Independent working style needing little supervision, takes decisions within agreed boundaries
  • Strong and effective communicator
  • Project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work and communicate, both oral and written, effectively with business and technical people at all levels
  • Results-driven and detail-oriented
  • Manage stakeholders at all levels in the organization
  • Fluent in English
